Erikson s Theory, Vygotzy, And Piaget s Model - 1583 Words

Developmental Journal From Psychology we learn there are basic theories on why we are the way we are as adults. As a human being we learn early as a child what is right from wrong, however we do not learn these actions on our own. Outside forces such as our parents, experiences and other people who have influences our train of thought in our life. The three developmental theories that will be explained are Erikson’s theory, Vygotzy’s theory, and Piaget’s model. All of these theories explain the process in which a human being adapts to the world from an infant to an elder adult. Each one of these men studied the behaviors of people throughout their life thus being able to conduct and carry out the results for each of their theories. The development theories are based on changes that happen over a course of time when the person is alive. These three Psychologist define this development as a series of stages. A stage is a period in development in which people show t ypical behavioral patterns and establish specific capacities. A theory sparked a fuse in Piaget;s, Vygotzy’s, and Erikson’s mind called the developmental theory. The developmental theory is a collective vision of theories about how desirable change in society is best achieved. These three men sought out to explain how the development of a human is explained and draw on a variety of social science disciplines and approaches to their theories. The concept of Juvenile gang’s is not unknown to the world. They can be found in any corner of the world and any ethnic/racial background. Gangs have been around since humans learned how to get into organized groups. This was about around the time of the middle ages. In fact, the first recorded history of such gangs was in the city of London (Sheldon., Tracy and Brown, 1996). For America, it was not until the early 1800s when juvenile gangs became a problem (Sheldon., Tracy and Brown, 1996). This being due to the social and economic problems in this period. Due to the wars, Immigration, and financial situation of the time, many juveniles see the gangs as a refuge from their situation. Since 2001, It has been reported that there are at least 4,000 gangs in the United states with an approximate following of at l east 200,000 Juveniles (Duffy and Gillig, 2004). A lot of these Juvenile gangs are broken up by race/ethnicity. In the 1920s, European Americans made up about 90 percent of the gangs in the United States (Duffy and Gillig, 2004). Among the earliest juvenile gangs were those of Irish background that had immigrated from Ireland to escape the life they had lead from there. From there, there were the Jewish gangs that had escaped the holocaust and the Italians that had fled from dictatorship of their home country (Cox et al., 2014) One of the more famous of the European gangs of this time would be the Death rabbits. The Death Rabbits were notorious for beating up other gangs with their spiked baseball bats with a dead rabbit’s head on the end (Kramer and Karr, 1953). On the other hand, African Americans made up about 7 percent of the total gangs in the United States (Duffy and Gillig, 2004). The longest running gang in United States history would have to be the Chicano gangs (She ldon., Tracy and Brown, 1996). The World War 1 (The Great War) World War I was one of the bloodiest and stupidest wars ever engaged in by human beings. It began for no real reason, it was fought in a way that ensured maximum bloodshed, and it ended in a way that left everyone dissatisfied." --Ed Zevin (2009). I strongly agree with the above statement. It was one war characterized with muddy, bloody mess, and unreasonable mass murders of young generation slaughtered at the command of foolish generals. Their destructive endeavors achieved nothing other than leading to establishment of the foundations for another bloody conflict 20 years later. The First World War has been described as an awful, stupid and useless war that has ever happened. This war was started off by Germans who were encouraged by the promise of masking great achievements by waging war to other nations (Henrich, 1918). After the war, the Britons thought that they had built a wide range of different meanings out of the war years. They also thought that they had achieved a miraculo us deliverance from an evil enemy by managing to pull other nations behind them against Germans and their allies. However, the war encompassed not only horror frustration and sorrow but also triumph, pride and enjoyment of sadist war mongers. The way this war was fought still remains a subject of controversy as there was no sensible cause. The pictures as per my opinion give people a field of analyzing how the war was carried out. The happenings of the war as depicted by the photographs are a clear sign of how it was one of the worst fights ever experienced in the world. The photographs are a clear representation of historically valuable war documents which teach people about many aspects of war. Through this, reality can be resembled more effectively and it is beyond description. First World War was one of the bloodiest wars that saw many individuals shed unnecessary blood.
